Switchboard Operator
We are seeking a confident and professional Switchboard Operator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring that enquiries are directed promptly and accurately to the appropriate individuals or departments. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to outstanding customer service will help maintain the smooth and efficient operation of our communication systems.

What can you bring to Banham?
Previous experience as a switchboard operator or within a customer service role.
Experience using Mitel systems is advantageous but not essential.
Proficiency in operating switchboard systems and standard office equipment.
Basic IT literacy, including email, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, polite, and friendly telephone manner.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle a variety of callers and situations.
High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
Problem-solving ability and adaptability to changing circumstances.
Understanding of confidentiality guidelines and best practices.
What will you be doing?
Manage all incoming and outgoing telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
Direct calls to the appropriate individuals or departments within the organisation.
Take and relay messages with accurate details, including names, contact numbers, and email addresses.
Ensure all messages are passed on quickly, clearly, and effectively.
